Seasonal:

• Prayer for Kids and Teachers: As the school year begins, we come together to pray for our children and educators, asking for guidance, strength, and inspiration as they embark on a new journey of learning.

• Adopt a Teacher: This program encourages our congregation to support local teachers by providing them with the resources and encouragement they need to thrive in the classroom.

• Turkey Totes: In preparation for Thanksgiving, we gather and distribute meals to families, ensuring they have the opportunity to celebrate and give thanks together.

• Peru Christmas Connection: Each holiday season, we partner with communities in Peru to provide gifts and essentials, sharing the joy of Christmas with those who need it most.

• Blessing Baskets: We prepare and distribute baskets filled with food and necessities to families in need, ensuring they have a festive and joyful holiday season.

• Christmas Stars for Moms, Seniors, and Children: Our Christmas Stars initiative allows us to fulfill the Christmas wishes of mothers, seniors, and children in our community, spreading joy and generosity during the holiday season.

• Holiday of Hope Campaign:This campaign focuses on creating a season of hope and joy, providing various resources and support to those in need during the holidays.

• Blessing Bags: We are excited to introduce our Blessing Bags initiative, providing essential items and care packages to those experiencing homelessness, showing them they are valued and loved.

• Hero Packs: This summer, we are thrilled to kick off "Hero Packs," a heartfelt outreach program dedicated to assembling and delivering small individual care packages for our first responders in Harford and Cecil County. These everyday heroes put their lives on the line to keep us safe, and we want to show our gratitude by providing them with essential items that can brighten their day.

• Stock the Station: This summer, we are excited to launch "Stock the Station," a community-driven effort to collect non-perishable pantry items for our local fire stations in Harford and Cecil County. Our brave firefighters work tirelessly to keep us safe, and now it's our turn to support them by ensuring they have essential supplies on hand.

• Homeless Feeding Ministry: Throughout the year, we actively support our homeless community by providing warm meals and essential resources, affirming their dignity and worth.

• Benevolence Fund: Our Benevolence Fund is a vital resource dedicated to providing support to individuals and families in need within our community. This fund enables us to extend a helping hand through financial assistance, essential resources, and compassionate care. Whether it's helping with utility bills, housing support, or other unexpected expenses, our goal is to alleviate hardship and bring hope to those facing challenging circumstances. We believe in fostering a spirit of generosity and kindness, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to experience blessings in their time of need. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors and embody the love and support of our community.

• Fresh Start Furnishings: At Riverside Church, we are committed to helping our community through our monthly partnership with Fresh Start Furnishings in Harford County. Our dedicated volunteers spend time with individuals and families in need, assisting them in selecting essential household items as they transition out of homelessness. Beyond providing furniture, we offer companionship and support, fostering dignity and hope. Together, we’re not just furnishing homes; we’re building brighter futures for our neighbors.
